The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently released a new Technical Report by its Task Force on Circumcision, claiming that the “benefits” of routine infant circumcision outweigh the risks. We're working hard to convince the AAP to retract its Report and demand they share the truth—circumcision is unnecessary and harmful—and it's unethical to perform needless surgery on non-consenting baby boys
Media outlets all across the country are covering the issue. The longer this story stays in the media, the better it is for those of us seeking to protect baby boys. This is exactly the kind of attention that will help keep the pressure on the AAP!

It's easy to do, just copy and paste the message below into an e-mail to your neighbors, parents, adult kids, co-workers, siblings, physicians (especially your pediatrician!), and friends:
I'm writing to tell you about something important. Every day, thousands of doctors across the country take newborn baby boys from their parents and subject them to a medically unnecessary, painful, life-altering surgery -- circumcision. And the American Academy of Pediatrics has taken the outrageous step of issuing a new Technical Report favoring circumcision -- which means more babies will now be at risk.
This needs to stop. Even though the newborn circumcision rate in this country is down to just 33%, because parents are better informed than ever, nearly a million babies every year suffer at the hands of doctors who are misinforming their parents, and removing an important, functional body part from their young patients without their consent.
I’ve just sent a letter to the American Academy of Pediatrics, demanding that it retract its new Report -- because the AAP has no right to put America's babies at risk. If you feel as I do, will you send the AAP a letter too? It's easy, just go here:
