2014 New York City Pride March
Every year, dozens of cities across America welcome thousands of activists at pride parades, where participants march to celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender culture. Intact America is proud to honor those in the gay rights movement who stand with us in the fight to end the brutality of circumcision—because every child has the human right to remain whole.
We are happy to announce that the Intaction.org Mobile Education Unit is joining us in the Pride March this year!!!
If you live in or near New York City, please join us; you can find details and RSVP at the event's Facebook page. All are welcome, regardless of sexual orientation.

Frequently Asked Questions
» Do I have to identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender to march in the parade?
Not at all! As in previous years, the Intactivist contingents will be extremely diverse.
» Do I need to register to march in the parades?
No, but if you have a Facebook account, please click “Attending” on the event so we have a rough idea of how many people to expect.
» What should I wear?
Wear shoes comfortable for walking. A hat and sunglasses are great for protection from the sun. If you have an intactivist shirt, please wear it! If you don't have one, no worries—we'll be giving special "FORESKIN PRIDE" t-shirts to people who join us in the march. (You can also purchase intactivist shirts and other gear in our online store.)
» What should I bring?
Drinking water (in a plastic or metal container) and sunscreen are recommended. There is often a long wait in line, so bringing food or snacks is also a good idea. If you are bringing children, consider bringing small games or other activities to keep them entertained while we wait for our turn to march. Keep in mind that anything you bring will have to be carried or pulled along with you.
» Are wagons, strollers, or bikes allowed in the parade?
Yes! We especially love seeing them outfitted with intactivist signs or other decorations.
» How long is the march?
Click here to see the parade route.
» What can I expect during the parade?
We will have a variety of signs (both large and small) available for intactivists to carry. We will also have t-shirts, bracelets, and lapel pins available for intactivists. Please watch this video of a video from the Bay Area Intactivists at the San Francisco Pride Parade to get an idea of what to expect.
» Can I bring my own sign?
Yes, any messages against infant circumcision, forced genital cutting, or genital mutilation are welcome. Signs promoting genital autonomy or the human right to genital integrity are also great. The decision whether or not to use graphic images or strong language is up to you. If you have questions about sign rules or specifics, please email [email protected]. Be sure that the lettering on your signs is large and bold enough for it to be legible from a distance of at least 30 feet.
